Women's Personality Can Bring More Disruptors To The Market

Women entrepreneurs are bringing about a change to the society with their disruptions and helping the economy along the way by influencing people and bringing in more disruptors to the market, opines Sridhar Ranganathan, Managing Director India & South Asia, Allergan India speaking at the BW Businessworld’s Women Entrepreneurship Summit & Awards 2019.

Sridhar confessed he had great respect for women who have done well in their life. He said, “If I look at the achievers all through my years of education, women were at the top of it where men formed the minority part. But when you look at the professional side of it, there is a huge imbalance. There is always an imaginary line despite women achieving a lot of things in their educational career, but never moved to the other side of the professional career.”

He believes it required a few people to take that one step forward to leave millions of people behind and become an inspiration for many. The step not only required physical strength but also a step of confidence, conviction, and courage thereby creating a disruption to become an inspiration.

He assesses the changing environment of women entrepreneurs being accepted and adds that there are three main important things to it; one is the disruption factor, second is the changing environment and third, the most important thing is personality. There is something which goes into an individual’s personality.

He recalls. “I heard Indra Nooyi speak where she said after reaching home, she is not the CEO of Pepsico but a mother a daughter-in-law and a wife and it amazes me how these people manage multiple roles at a time. That is when I realized that if you have to bring that personality out, you need to have an emotional state which can be changed by a better physical state.”

‘With the right kind of appearance, the kind of impression you can make will lead to more disruptors. Woman spend very little time on themselves despite handling a lot of pressure and work-related stress while leaving very little time for their emotional and physical well- being. Because of the intrinsic factors; physical and psychological factors that women have led to the impact showing on the face.’ Sridhar said highlighting the importance of personality for women to be able to influence people to bring disruption to the market.  

Addressing the solution to stress taking a toll on their personality, he said, “There are a lot of options available in the aesthetic market if you want to make your body look going beyond what you're doing for your business and your life. So women can actually take time for themselves to enhance their physical being and in the process, it can enhance their emotional side.”

Women are influencing society so much with their disruption and helping the economy, by enhancing their personality they can bring in more influence and we can actually get many more disruptors in the market. He concluded saying, “If it is 200 today in a congregation like this, it can be slated to be 200,000 by the impact of the personality of women entrepreneurs.”
