Puneet Chandok will be the new President at Microsoft India, succeeding Anant Maheshwari, who decided to step down from his role earlier in July, according to people in the know.

The transition marks a pivotal moment for the technology giant as it welcomes a new leader to steer its operations in the Indian market.

Puneet Chandok, a seasoned industry veteran, brings a wealth of experience to his new position. He will join Microsoft India from his previous role as the President of Amazon Web Services' (AWS) commercial business for India and South Asia. During his tenure at AWS, Chandok has played a crucial role in driving the cloud computing giant's growth and fostering strong partnerships within the region.

The news of Chandok's appointment as the President of Microsoft India comes at a time when the company is actively investing in the Indian market, reinforcing its commitment to driving digital transformation and empowering businesses and individuals with cutting-edge technology solutions.

With his extensive experience in the tech sector, Chandok is well-positioned to lead Microsoft India's strategic initiatives and further strengthen the company's position in the country's competitive technology landscape.

In June, it was reported that Chandok would be leaving AWS. He is expected to depart from the company on 31 August.
