Social media platform LinkedIn has rolled out job post verifications to assure candidates that the information displayed by the poster is verified.

“When you see verifications on job posts, that means there is information that has been verified as authentic by the job poster, LinkedIn or one of our partners,” wrote Rohan Rajiv, Product at LinkedIn, in an official LinkedIn blog post.

The verified job post will display verified information on whether the poster is affiliated with an official company page, has verified their work email or workplace, or their government ID was verified through CLEAR.

The ‘verified jobs’ roll out on the platform is a significant one considering the rising number of complaints over fake and suspicious job postings and job posters.

The company said that job verifications are just rolling out and they will become more visible as LinkedIn expands access to its free verification tools.

In April, LinkedIn launched CLEAR too to allow users to verify their identity and show the same on their LinkedIn profile. This was rolled out exclusively in the US. Users could verify themselves on the LinkedIn through their US government-issued ID and US phone number.
