The great audio quality definitely helps put it up there with products like it. In this review, I will be taking a look at the EPOS 160T USB-C II and testing how it performs in the real world.

Design and Build Quality

The work-from-home headphones take a lot of design elements from the Sennheiser HD 2.30G headphones. The headphones do have a retractable microphone as well as in-line control. The EPOS plus Sennheiser branding is also something that makes the headphones look appealing. The product looks premium and feels good to use.

Performance

Work-from-home headphones are never feature-heavy. They are simplistic and they get the work done. That is also one of the best features of this genre of headphones. Be it the Logitech H800 or the Razor BlackShark V2, professional headphones are not as flashy as for instance, gaming headphones, but they do have the necessary tools to get the job done.

The EPOS Adapt 160T USB-C II is Microsoft Meets certified and is equipped with ANC so noise disturbances can be instantly blocked out. This feature works great but the Microsoft Teams certification was unclear.

EPOS claims business-grade communication and that is true to a great extent. The microphone is complimented by the EPOS Voice technology which is further complemented by in-built noise cancellation.

Verdict: Is It Worth It?

The USP of the headphones lies in its noise cancellation feature. It is a lifesaver when it comes to professional usage. Hybrid culture is here to stay and there is no denying it. The ANC really kicks in and is a saviour against construction noises and office chatter.

I did try the headphones out for entertainment as well. The movie experience was better than expected. Using the headphones over a long period of time did cause a little bit of discomfort. The EPOS 160T was also a hit while gaming.

There were some instances, we I did feel the need for enhanced mids. On the overall performance aspect, however, be it calls, music, movies or gaming, the headphones did a great job. Calls were crisp, the audio was clear and noise cancellation is on point. Now, don’t go expecting surround sound from these headphones. Despite being good, they are not built for entertainment.

The primary goal of this review was to judge the performance of these headphones, the focus being on the quality of vocals reproduced by the EPOS audio drivers. To be honest, I had a hard time finding flaws. After a barrage of repeated calls over the headphones, I had to come to the conclusion that the EPOS ADAPT 160T ANC headphones are actually as good as they are touted to be.

These headphones are strictly for professional use. Go for it if the purpose of your purchase revolves around making professional calls and improving call quality by cancelling out unwanted noise. If your needs include entertainment, music or gaming, look the other way as there.
