Much like the start of a new year, a new chapter of your life begins with putting your best foot forward. There’s no better time to purge your closet and reinvent your style than the New Year. Every fashionista's guilty pleasure, shoes form an important part of one's look, and are a great way to add character to any ensemble. This new year a fresh wave of footwear trends is about to steer through as we enter a new decade in 2020. As previewed by the Spring 2020 runways, the year's biggest shoe trends are fun, colourful, and guaranteed to breathe new life into your wardrobe.

Exotic kitten heels: Over the years as the footwear of women have seen a major evolution, the kitten heels are something which has had a dramatic comeback in recent times, especially in animal prints. Pair it up with a formal outfit, sporting it at the office, or put them together with your most loved dresses, flaunting them at a party, either way, they are sure to bring stares in any given setting.

Stay on-the-go sneakers: The style of sneakers preferred by women has been dynamic and constantly evolving with passing styles. However, sneakers are one type of footwear that don’t see sundown and never go out of fashion. Hence, for 2020, you can expect chunky-soled sneakers to be the new icon of the sneaker world, especially the one where millennials live.

Black statement boots: Every impulsive shoe-shopper has made boots the diva of the shoe world, in turn concluding it to be a must-have. A staple addition to the shoe rack, especially for the sophisticated winter outfits, boots are every shoe lover’s safe haven. From block heels, pencil heels of any possible size, to flats and platforms, for the rustier look, boots can blend in with all of them with equal charm. It’s not only about fashion but it is also comfort and with Metro shoes it has an additional feature of memory foam which provide plush cushioning comfort for foot pain relief.

Strappy Mules: Come to think of comfort while wearing heels, it’s a tough combination in this fashion-stricken world. Therefore, strappy mules are the perfect common ground between the gorgeousness of heels and the long-lasting comfort of sandals. 2020 is all set to see the rise of strappy mules into becoming essential for daily wear for women of all age groups in almost all social settings.

The Loafer trend: Loafers have been considered as rather an old school and boring over the past few years, and it’s about time that remark changes. Paired with chunky heels and a platform base, they’re all set to be on the top of their game this year and witness a complete change of personality and style.

Strap on, tie around: From flats to any type of heels, lacing-up and being strappy around the ankles is majorly going to be enjoyed amongst the new generation, high spirited women who are ready for new experiences and completely open to new trends. Either ribbon ending with tassels, or extended buckle wrap-ups, it’s going to be a chic look this season either way!

Pump it up!:  Pumps have been a forever favourite and this year will show no less. From the majorly loved bow-styled ones to the subtly plain type, they’re going to be topping your wish list soon.
