Cairo, Egypt

The Capital of Egypt, Cairo, is set on the river Nile. Not too far away, Giza is the site of the famous pyramids and Great Sphinx, dating back to the 26th century BC. Cairo is most famous for having the Giza Pyramids Complex that holds one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the Great Pyramid of King Khufu. Out of all the culinary delights, Molokhia, a leafy soup is an almost sacrosanct dish for many Egyptians. Falafel (taamiya) in Cairo is delicious and a must try for all tourists. Egypt and especially Cairo, have been known for ages for their musical and dramatic talent and as the site of a renaissance in Arab theatre. Most of the Arabic films are produced by Egyptian companies in Cairo, and famous movie stars and many well-known musical entertainers of the Arab world make Cairo their base. A destination that portrays the oldest and finest architecture, Cairo is a must visit.

Athens, Greece

The most well-known fact about Athens is that it was the birthplace of Western civilization. Athens is considered to be the birthplace of democracy due to the origin of many intellectual and artistic ideas here. No tourist can ever get bored in this city due to the things to see and do, whether one is exploring the winding streets of Plaka or admiring the grand Temple of Olympian Zeus. Athens is definitely not cheap, but it is not very expensive either. In comparison to other European capitals, it can be said that Athens is reasonably less expensive. It completely depends on what kind of money you are willing to spend during your visit. Approximately three days in this city would be the ideal amount of time needed to see all the highlights of Athens as a historic destination, and to also take a short trip to a place of significant importance such as Delphi or the Temple of Poseidon at Sounion. Ljubljana, Slovenia

Ljubljana is not only the capital but also the political and cultural heart of Slovenia. The winter season brings out its Middle European character and the summer season portrays its Mediterranean easiness. It is a picturesque town full of exciting attractions. It is also marked by medieval, Baroque and Secession elements. The atmosphere in Ljubljana is easy going and reminiscent of the Mediterranean. There is an abundance of outdoor cafés, especially near the banks of the Ljubljanica, which are the favourite destinations of everybody looking to relax while enjoying the scenery. The ancient city centre is always buzzing with activity. The natural sights and globally renowned landmarks, such as Bled and the Postojna Cave, the Alps of Slovenia, Karst and the coast are truly exceptional. Ljubljana boasts of extraordinary culinary delights, traditional recipes, organic food and the influence of the Mediterranean and modern techniques of the resident chefs. Slovene wines are excellent and must be tried as they are also characterised by pronounced natural aromas. 

 Istanbul, Turkey

Despite the city's age, many important and significant remains still exist in Istanbul. The most famous landmarks are Hagia Sophia tour, the house of the Ottoman Sultans: Topkapı Palace, and the largest covered bazaar - the Grand Bazaar. In the Sultanahmet district, the open-air, Roman-era Hippodrome was for a very long period of time - the site of chariot races, and the Egyptian obelisks do also remain as popular as they were ages ago.
