At BW Dialogue organised by BW Businessworld, anchored by its Editor-in-Chief, Anurag Batra – Shane Watson said that the former South African all-rounder Jacques Kallis was his all-time favourite cricket player.

"Kallis was such a mature player -- he played 150 Test matches with great finesse with the bat and the ball. I am a fan of all the 150 performances that Kallis gave in his Test career,” Watson said.

Asked about his favourite Australian player, Watson said: “Ricky Ponting believed in me more than I believed in myself”.

On his favourite Indian player, Watson said, “Rahul Dravid and his gestures are rare to find." Watson revealed that his stint with Rajasthan Royals showed him Dravid’s man management. “Dravid and his humbleness is something which binds all the team and it is essential for any team to win,” said Watson.

Watson had plenty to say about CSK's Indian captain MS Dhoni too. “I believe that Dhoni is a player that no opposition will like to play against. You can’t guess what’s running in his (Dhoni) mind. He is very balanced and he plays so calmly under pressure that I enjoyed playing under his captainship in Chennai Super Kings.”

“Dhoni articulates things very well and that is what one can learn from him,” added Watson.
