The Central Government will announce the names of two more startups who will receive support under the Design-Linked Incentive (DLI) Scheme.

The startup names will be announced during the Delhi-leg of 3rd SemiconIndia futureDESIGN Roadshow at IIT Delhi on Friday.

Selected chip design startups which work in key growth areas of automotive, mobility and computing will receive financial support as well as design infrastructure support for designing state of the art system on chips.

In coming weeks, more futureDESIGN startups are being lined up to be approved under the DLI Scheme.

“We intend to take the Semicon India program to every student, every college and make as many young Indians excited by and participate in the Semicon India journey,” said MoS Rajeev Chandrasekhar.

In December 2021, Centre had initiated the India Semiconductor Mission with an incentive outlay of Rs 76,000 crore to attract investments in the sector.

During the Roadshow on Friday, VC firm Sequoia Capital India will announce its foray into the semiconductor space. The firm is likely to make an announcement on their investment in 2 Digital India RISC-V (DIR-V) Start-ups.

Earlier this year, Centre had announced Vervesemi Microelectronics Pvt. Ltd, Fermionic Design Pvt. Ltd. and DV2JS Innovation Ltd as recipients of DLI scheme support for chip design.
