'We Need To Build An Environment Of Research To Flourish Academic System Of Our Country'

The second session was themed EFFECTIVE REGULATION: The Way forward to quality assurance for institutions and students. The panel held the discussion around the regulation in the education sector and how an institution can qualify to maintain its standard.

The panellists Dr Y Vijay, Vice Chancellor, Vivekananda Global University and Prof D N Rao, President, Vigyana Jyothi Society discussed that how Indian Accreditation Agencies are the most scrupulous in developing guidelines and evaluating the academic integrity of the institutions that operate within its borders. They further added that the online education has allowed colleges and universities to operate seamlessly across geographical boundaries. Policy makers need to rigorously examine and re-examine their evaluation guidelines for colleges and universities to operate within their borders regardless of how instruction is delivered. The session discussed the key accreditation parameters and what needs to be evaluated for Institutions to protect the interests of students and safeguard the reputation of the Institutions.

Dr Vijay said, "We need to build an environment of Research to flourish academic system of our country.
 
Later the other panellist, Prof Rao emphasised on how we are falling in happiness index. He said through education, we can elevate the happiness index rank or else we will be finished.
Prof Rao reiterated that how education is getting privatised and a student is neither ready to go to a government institution nor he is satisfied with private setup covering education spaces.
