NTPC Group Installs Unit Having Capacity Of 73000 MW In Bihar

This comes in the backdrop of the commissioning of Unit-2 of 660 MW capacity of Stage-I (3 x 660 MW)

NTPC Group installed capacity touches 73024 megawatts (MW) at Barh Super Thermal Power Project in Bihar. This comes in the backdrop of the commissioning of Unit-2 of 660 MW capacity of Stage-I (3 x 660 MW).

With this, the installed capacity of NTPC and NTPC Group has become 57038 MW and 73024 MW respectively.

According to the media release, the company is committed to achieving 60,000 MW of Renewable Energy capacity by the year 2032.

NTPC is India’s largest integrated power utility, contributing almost 25 per cent of the power requirement of the country. 

“With a diverse portfolio of thermal, hydro, solar and wind power plants, NTPC is delivering reliable, affordable and sustainable electricity,” the company said in a statement.
