Mumbai has become a thriving job hub in India, according to a recent report published by apna.co, a well-known jobs and professional networking platform.
The metropolis witnessed remarkable growth in its job market during the first half of 2023.
The report revealed that Mumbai experienced an impressive surge, with over 45,000 job opportunities being posted on apna.co alone. This surge underscores the city's robust employment landscape and its undeniable appeal to professionals seeking new and promising career prospects.
Mumbai's job market is brimming with diverse opportunities across various sectors. With a job post appearing every 5 minutes, industries such as Sales & Marketing, Finance & Accounts, and HR & Admin are actively recruiting talent to drive their growth. The number of employers in Mumbai also witnessed a remarkable 30 per cent increase in the first half of 2023, with approximately 10,000 new employers joining the platform compared to the same period last year.
This surge in employer participation further underscores the city's expanding business ecosystem and the growing demand for skilled professionals. Notably, the apna.co platform attracted nearly 2,50,000 new job seekers actively seeking employment opportunities in Mumbai. This reflects the platform's popularity and effectiveness in connecting job seekers with relevant openings. A staggering 2.5 million job applications were received, with women contributing to approximately 38 per cent of the total applications, highlighting the strong demand for employment opportunities in the city and the active participation of women in the workforce.
