Pramod Bharal, (Founder PSA chemicals)

Pramod Bharal, Founder PSA chemicals, has been vociferous about his mission to create a disease free, war-free, peaceful world. Taking a step further in the direction, his app, Rog Mukt Duniya is now live on the Google Play Store, and is geared towards helping every class of people order and get delivery of the medicine they require. With a simplified ordering system and detailed information on the medicines available on the app, it is easy and efficient for everyone to use. The app also provides guidance related to the product or any query related to product free of cost. And as a bonus, since this is the first release of the app, there are coupons for discounts on order value to be utilised as well!

Pramod’s list of contributions to the fields of both the pharmaceutical industry and philanthropy are dizzying and inspiring, painstakingly added to for fifty years. The founder of PSA Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals Ltd., a technologically driven pharma company, he has wielded his Chemical Engineering degree and his grit and compassion to innovate and revolutionize. This journey began decades ago, but starts a brand new page with its new app, Rog Mukt Duniya.

His firm was started in 1985, with a mere Rs. 500 in his pocket. But with his determination to achieve his goal, he built a consultancy firm into a company whose products have a presence in over 40 countries and registered product-base of more than 400 products worldwide. When the firm was started, it was right after the birth of his second daughter; cited to be his inspiration to take a leap ahead.

Despite the risky situation, where one may have had justifiable doubts, Bharal managed to sign the first enquiry he took – so early that the name of the firm had not even been decided yet. An appointment with Hindustan Leaver led to the firm’s first project, and the name struck during discussions with Mr. Bharal’s wife, Suman and an architect friend. The name PSA would stand for the couple, Pramod and Suman, and the Associates, meaning the people they would depend on. A heartwarming anecdote, that highlights the values of the company straight out of the gate. Still, the same monogram is being used and the message is clear: no matter how much the company may grow and evolve, rising to greater and greater heights, the virtues and base vision remains stalwart.

Bharal’s foray into marketing came with Vinod Malvia and Mahabir Prasad Agarwal, the Managing Director for a Project at Taurus Chemical Pvt. Ltd, at the time. Despite his strengths lying in technical work rather than marketing, he was given marketing responsibilities of his agency. A fortuitous posting, we can tell now, as by 1991, he had more than twenty companies from Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Delhi knocking on his door of his consultancy services.

A fair at Gangzhou, China expanded his business internationally by bringing in a Chinese client in the April of 1992. By 1994, he had started his own APIs and by 2000, he had agents all over the world. Milestones of this expansion include names like HTC, Zim Laboratory and Semi Chemicals.

But it was time to kick things up a notch. With his solid connections to MNCs and big Indian companies, built up since 1988, he decided to venture into finished formulation marketing. He decided his working capital was only Rs. 5000 and more importantly, that hs focus would center on marketing a product which treated long term dieseases and medical issues. In 2006, Rainbow Life Sciences Pvt. Ltd. was born.

During the Mahaveer Jayanti Janmotsav ceremony at the Raj Bhavan in Mumbai, Maharashtra, on the 24th of April 2022, he was presented with the Samaj Bhushan award by the Governor of Maharashtra as a sign of recognition for all of his contributions to society through his humanitarian endeavours and his pharmaceutical company. After that, he received the Midday Icon Award in Dubai.

Encouraged by these achievements, he declared his lofty goal of eradicating disease by assisting people in finding affordable cures. Accepting these honours humbly, he modestly described the occasion as a "bolt out of the blue, that fills him with appreciation and joy," feeling even more driven to pursue his goal of creating a disease-free globe. This recognition of his life and work thus far in the form of the abovementioned awards serves as its own reward.

Bharal has made it clear that he will stop at nothing to ensure that everyone has access to affordable disease medications. He strives to make healthcare available for everyone because that's his life mission. Pramod Bharal is a man who believes in taking on responsibility and lending a helping hand to those in need.
