Students who have failed the exam will still be allowed to appear for the supplementary examination. The NMC have also directed the authorities to conduct these universities exams 3-6 weeks after result announcement.

The GMER were issued earlier this month. Under this, NMC have advised that Counselling for AIQ & State quota seats will take place under common platform.

As per GMER-23 norms, NMC also informed that if there is a tie in the NEET UG marks, the individual scores in PCB subjects will be taken into consideration.

As per latest reports, an official from NMC said that a new software might be needed for conducting common counselling which is under the process currently. However, a conversation is going on between the Health Ministry & States to bring the NEET counselling process on the same portal.

UGMEB Role for common counselling:

The regulation also mentioned, “ The UGMEB is responsible for publishing the model curriculum & outcome objective on the NMC website, which will serve as a foundation for development of detailed medical curricula by respective universities. Additional choice based credit course of limited duration will be offered alongside the NMC curriculum”.
