India took over the Presidency of the G-20 from 1 December 2022 to 30 November 2023. The 43 Heads of Delegations – the largest ever in G-20 – will be participating in the final New Delhi Summit in September this year.

The government also designed the G20 Logo, which draws inspiration from the vibrant colours of India’s national flag and juxtaposes planet Earth with the lotus.

The theme of India’s G-20 Presidency – “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” or “One Earth · One Family · One Future” - is drawn from the ancient Sanskrit text of the Maha Upanishad. Essentially, the theme affirms the value of all life – human, animal, plant, and microorganisms – and their interconnectedness on Earth and on the broader universe.

Drawing inspiration, Gnarly Troop organised GT20 Summit focusing on Realising Opportunities of the 21st Century for all.

Founder of Gnarly Troop Foundation, Amarjeet Kr Thakur says about the GT20 summit that it hosted 2700 eminent people like diplomats, officers, ambassadors, doctors, scientists, engineers, young leaders, entrepreneurs, global alumni and social workers.

According to Thakur, the top 300 international schools and institutions and alumni from renowned universities across the globe also lent their participation and prestige to the summit that makes summit truly an international affair, with its proceedings being broadcasted in six official languages — Hindi, English, French, Spanish, Arabic and Chinese.

In the purview of the upcoming G-20 Summit, Thakur sees it as a significant opportunity for the country to lead global discussions on economic growth, sustainable development and international cooperation.

He further says that we support India’s presidency of the G-20 Summit with our own capacity, which is based on the theme of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam,” i.e., One Earth, One Family and One Future.

“India's presidency of the G-20 Summit is focused on youth leadership, community building and sustainable development, which goes hand in hand with Gnarly Troop’s objectives,” he added.

Gnarly Troop Foundation is an NGO which has been working in 20 countries and it engages youth with international discourse from eminent institutions, colleges and universities of many countries.
