Raised in a middle-class Kashmiri Pandit family in Gujarat, UpasanaTakutook a bold decision to move back to India from the United States, defying her family’s wishes. She quit a secure job at PayPal in Silicon Valley and gave her a green card to move back to India to start a financial services startup.
“I believe that it was one of the bravest and best decisions I could have made for myself,” says Taku.
Today, Taku’s MobiKwik products and services cater to a total addressable market that is expected to reach USD 2.1 trillion by 2030, growing at a CAGR of 18 per cent from 2022.
