Fire Breaks Out In Bhopal-Delhi Vande Bharat Express

The Indian railways said, no injuries were reported and the fire was limited to the box only

A fire broke out in the coach of the Bhopal-Delhi Vande Bharat Express early morning today, according to media reports.

The fire was successfully extinguished at around 7.58.a.m, the report added.

The high-speed train going from the city of Bhopal to the national capital’s Hazrat Nizamuddin Terminal reportedly met with a fire incident at the Kurwai Kethora station in Madhya Pradesh, just when it was about to reach the next station, Bina.

Furthermore, it said 20 to 22 passengers in the coach were immediately shifted to other coaches, no injury was caused and all were reported safe.

The reason for the mishap was the fire in the battery box of a C-12 coach, a railway officer said as per reports. He said following the incident the Vande Bharat train, Rani Kamalapati to Hazrat Nizamuddin was immediately halted between the stations of Kurwai and Kaithora in Vidisha district.

Commenting on the matter the Indian railways said, no injuries were reported and the fire was limited to the box only.
