In A Startup Business One Needs To Have A Lot Of Patience: Navneet Ganpathi

In the concluding panel discussion on the Road to Greatness--- Resilient Entrepreneurs, Navneet Ganpathi, founder, sportainment said that in a start-up business one needs to have a lot of patience and one needs to have fire in the belly to achieve goals. He added that employee empowerment is important.

Pawan Gupta, co-founder of Curofy said his company focused on longevity and it is important to have that vision of how the company would be 100 years from now when the original promoter and founders are no longer around. Considering the knowledge economy that we are in, it is important to focus on employee satisfaction as those are the people who are going to build your company.

Talking on the road to greatness, Ganpathi said that to achieve greatness it involves a lot of sacrifices. He cited the example of cricketer Virat Kohli who has cut out butter chicken from his diet completely. He also said one indicator of greatness is the greatness goal post should be shifted constantly. Gupta also emphasized the need to shift the needle constantly to achieve greatness. Ganpathi also warned founders and companies not to take shortcuts to achieve goals as that would led to disastrous consequences later. Gupta added to it by saying that is what distinguishes the good leaders from the bad ones.
