Technology is the most significant facilitator of human lives today. It has become omnipresent in every space, from work to household chores. Celebrating Technology Day in India symbolises the journey the country has travelled to reach the point where India is emerging as the leader in spearheading many technological companies. Let's look at the comments of such tech companies across the country.

Phalgun Kompalli, Co-founder, upGrad- “Technology has been the biggest enabler of innovation and evolution in the times we live and breathe. Every sector is undergoing paradigm shifts to adapt to the modern-day work practice that fosters scalability and growth. However, there's an increasing mismatch of hard and soft skills amongst the graduated talent or the working professionals who have been the product of traditional learning, thus widening the demand-supply gap in the job market. Most of such skill-brunts are seen amongst the IT professionals or the techies who are constantly exposed to the market evolution. Hence, upskilling as a concept has become even more valuable and time-sensitive to ensure uninterrupted employability for Indian nationals.

Atul Rai, CEO & Co-Founder of Staqu Technologies- emphasises the enormous potential of the Indian youth to become leaders in the technology industry on the occasion of Technology Day. “I believe that in order to make India a centre for AI research, the industry must inspire and motivate young people to use emerging technologies for innovation and advancement. We can raise a generation of businesspeople and leaders who will influence the course of the world by encouraging a culture of creativity and problem-solving.”

Harsha Solanki, VP GM - Asia, Infobip- "Technological advancements have revolutionized our lives in ways we never could have anticipated. From our morning ritual of checking WhatsApp to the seamless operations of businesses, technology has become the driving force behind it all. Besides laying the foundation for future innovations, the emergence of cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), 5G, metaverse, cloud computing, and generative AI is significantly transforming the customer experience."

Dhiraj Gupta, Co-Founder and CTO, mFilterIt- "India has a distinct advantage in its digital service offerings due to the JAM (Jan Dhan Yojna + Aadhar + Mobile Phone) combination. However, it is crucial for the country to also possess responsible technology that can support secure and safe digital experiences. The evolution of technology has gone beyond providing mere convenience."

Beas Dev Ralhan, CEO of Next Education- "Larger focus should be on the pivotal role of 21st-century skills such as problem-solving, creative and critical thinking, digital literacy, experiential learning, and global competency to help them become the key decision makers of tomorrow."

Avimukt Dar, Founding Partner, IndusLaw-  "As a developing economy India has always leveraged every jump in technology in order to fulfill the potential of its citizens. We saw this with the scaling of e-commerce over the last decade enabling consumers across the country from the smallest towns getting access to goods and services which could otherwise only be fulfilled through large scale organised retail. Now ONDC promises to ensure that the entire e-commerce stack is disintermediated for the benefit of the entire supply chain and consumers."

Piyush Goel, Founder & CEO of Beyond Key - "On behalf of our company and myself, I want to extend my warmest wishes to everyone on National Technology Day. Today, we celebrate the advancements and innovations that have propelled us forward and made our lives easier and more connected. Technology has transformed the way we live, work, and interact with each other. It has revolutionized industries, created new opportunities, and brought people closer together."

Manav Subodh, Managing Director of 1M1B ( One Million for One Billion)-  “The present discourse around AI and other immersive technologies like AR/ VR is that it is going to come in and take away jobs. We can flip the script by de-mystifying these new technologies to a broader social-economic audience and empowering them to enter the new virtual jobs economy and reimagine a new future for themselves."

Mukesh Kumar Bansal- Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of TelioEV- an Electric vehicle (EV) Charging Management Solutions provider Company- “The electric vehicle (EV) industry in India has seen a significant positive change in recent years, thanks to the impact of technology. The progress of EVs in India has been facilitated by technology in various aspects. This includes the development of better battery technology and charging infrastructure, as well as digital mobility solutions. With the aid of advanced software in EV manufacturing and design, more efficient, cost-effective, and eco-friendly EVs have emerged."
