Mercedes-Benz Launches The Fifth Generation C-Class

Mercedes-Benz has launched the new generation of C-Class in India. The sedan is available in three variants and is loaded with technology. The price starts at Rs. 55 lakh (ex-showroom)

Luxury carmaker Mercedes-Benz has launched the fifth generation of C-Class sedan in India. Mercedes says that the new C-Class (W206) is the most stylish and exclusive C-Class ever. The sedan applies Mercedes-Benz’s design philosophy of sensual purity and offers a sporty and modern design, in addition to being highly digital.

Features

The new C-Class shares the DNA of the flagship S-Class and is loaded with technology like NTG 7 infotainment, the latest generation of AI-powered MBUX, an 11.9-inch LCD touchscreen, car to X communication technology where cars can talk to each other, and all connected car features.

The spearhead of the efficiency improvement measures is the new OM 654 M with an integrated second-generation starter-generator (ISG). It has a 48-volt partial onboard electrical system.

The fifth-generation C-Class is available with a choice of three engine variants C200 (Petrol), C220d (Diesel) & C300d (Diesel) with three colour options such as mojave silver, high-tech silver & selenite grey in C200 and C220d Variant each and three colour options in the C300d variant as black, white and blue.

All three variants support ISG with up to additional 15kW power and up to 200 Nm torque. In total there are five different hazard warnings that it captures and transmit within the network such as rains, skidding, general warning, accident and winds

The price for Mercedes-Benz C-Class starts from Rs. 55 lakh for the C200 variant, Rs. 56 lakh for the C220d variant, and Rs. 61 lakh for the C300d variant (all prices are as per ex-showroom)
