AI Technology Eases Day-to-day Business: Vikram Jit Singh, Fung Group

Giving a new dimension to strategic workforce planning to reduce HR’s workload, “Earlier to resolve their issues, employees approached HR but after the introduction of Chatbots in our company things have gotten easier,” said Maneesh Menda, Human Resources Lead -Operations, RBS Services India. 

Furthermore, Rajeev Bhardwaj, Chief Human Resource Officer, Sun Life Asia Service Centre said, “To tackle the workload on HR, we introduced Amber, a chatbot by Infeedo in our company which reaches out to our employees based on certain parameters.” 

On the contrary, Vikram Jit Singh, Head HR & Corporate Services Group- South Asia, Fung Group illustrated the opportunities and threats of using AI and Tech in the company. He said, “Even though chatbots are helpful but it becomes frustrating for an employee as it gives predictive threat to them.”  

“We have moved to AI technology where we experimented with AI in terms of onboarding and implemented it to ease our day-to-day business,” he further added during BW Businessworld 5th HR Excellence Awards 2020. 

Explaining the same, Ashutosh Mishra, Head- Human Resources, DishTV India said, “AI has made business easier. As Generation Z is tech-savvy, AI tools have improved productivity.”
