In Future Everything Will Be Connected To Internet: Ajay Kumar Yadav, Inspector General Of Police

Panel discussion on "Cyber Security and how new technologies can aid in that" was held at 2nd Secure India Conclave, New Delhi.

“We (Indian Railways) are probably the first of all departments in the government to study any emergent technology”, said Vineet Goenka, Member of Governing Council, Centre for Railway Information System (CRIS), Government of India, at BW Businessworld 2nd Secure India Conclave in New Delhi.

Talking about the contribution from the Indian Railways, Goenka added that the department is using and studying fifth-generation technologies.

Vidya Sagar Jagadam, IT Advisor to CM, Government of Andhra Pradesh, added to the dialogue and said, “Using of emergent technologies will be helpful.”

“User give their data without concern and so ‘users education' is necessary,” added Jagadam talking about the critical need.

Bringing to notice the key challenges faced in the Cyber space, Ajay Kumar Yadav, Inspector General of Police (Communication and IT), Central Reserve Police Force, said, “In future everything will be connected to the internet and challenges bill be huge.”

He further added, “The root of the entry and exit of security issues is through the third party and proper governance is needed to counteract that.”

Bringing to notice the systemic issues present, Anyesh Roy, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Cyber Crime Delhi Police, said, “We hardly get any cases of data breaches but it’s mostly because organizations are not reporting.”
