Inspiration For Disrupting Your Startups

The panellists at Women Entrepreneurship Summit & Awards 2019 shared their journey of starting the business, from name to funding to the workforce and much more. They also shared their personal experiences, be it food, design, art, fashion or health, which inspired them to build the brand.

"It wasn't an easy task but when you start working on something it happens", said Priya Singh Dubey.

She further shared her experience of being questioned on her credibility and competency while working with closely related people and how difficult it was to make them understand & survive in such work environment.

She added, "After learning my lessons, now, I have deliberately put my strong position from the beginning with my new venture."

Rachel Goenka voiced her love for food which inspired her to start the dessert food chain. "When we started, we redefined how people were eating desserts, we realised that people don't take desserts seriously thus we redefined the innovation in desserts," she said. 

Sarika Bhattacharyya expressed that when there is similar passion in the team, it leads to a smooth business. She said, "The right hiring and right talent is necessary for the right team force."

Futhermore, the panellists discussed about working with startups and how it gives, an individual, the overall experience.

Gursakhi Lugani said, "I believe that working with startups gives you a wholesome experience, one can get his/her hand on everything."

Nafisa Rachel William commented, "Entrepreneur itself signifies taking risks, when you decide to start a business, you are all into it."

Angel Bedi, doodler, said that one needs to be happy with what they are doing but also keep the ethics in mind. "I vision about the future, being an artist, my art will always be intact with me. I want to keep it simple and small," she added.

One of the panellist told the mantra for a business to succeed. "Focus should not be on how much you can afford but on the content that you produce," said Natasha Chaudhri.

She also expressed that one should engage with as many communities as they can. She added, "find your way to the villages and serve."
